Kohala Institute’s GRACE Center, headquarters for Collaboration for Solutions, serves as a haven for contemplation and reflection, offering lodging, food, facilities and technology. It is rural and isolated, but not disconnected. The multi-purpose center consists of six newly renovated buildings and ten newly constructed one-bedroom/one-bathroom cabins. It includes 40 hostel-style dorm beds, a corporate conference room, a family room-style lounge for small meetings and other program space. In the dining hall, there is a 1,400-square-foot Great Room, a 700-square-foot dining room, as well as a certified kitchen and agriculture product value-added processing area. Other buildings offer classrooms, a library for one-on-one counseling, and treatment rooms for massages and similar. The spacious facilities and cabins are available for individual and group retreats, corporate meetings, conferences, classes, visiting programs, distance learning, training, university collaboration, family celebrations and community events.
